The main reason for my low rating was the fact that I could not get a perfect 3-Star score on the very first level. If you like mahjong, this is a great little game. At the beginning of the level you get the ordinary and special tasks to complete — remove the exact quantity of golden tiles, get the required number of points and comply the level within the designated amount of time or try not to exceed the limit of given moves. This is a nice game for mahjong enthusiasts. I liked the looks of the tiles, mostly the elegant ladies and gentlemen in their powdered wigs. What a beautiful game. Lovely music, changes often enough not to get boring. There was no fun animation of the tile sets or encouraging sounds or voices when you made spectacular moves. Now the "flower" and "seasons" tiles look different, you'll see the tiles with pretty ladies and courageous gentlemen but the mechanics is the same: if you see them unblocked, click on such a pair to remove. I re-played that level eight times, changing my strategy each time, and there was no way to score the required points. There's not much of a story, just get through a bunch of games, collect masks, and become the king of "Carnaval". There are six different mahjong locations, and 20 games per location, so there are plenty of games to keep you busy for hours. However it's nothing I would ever purchase. Some sections have two sets of points required and the higher seems to be impossible to reach, thus making the game not only disappointing but so frustrating you have to give it up. You must remove every gold tile, gold tiles can be matched to regular tiles if they are the same pattern and you may also have to complete the level within a specific amount of time, or within a specific number of moves, or earn a specific amount of points.

The main Masters of Mystery: Blood of Betrayal for my low rating was the fact Carnvaal I could not get a perfect 3-Star score on the very first level. However it's nothing I Mahjong Carnaval ever purchase. So no "do it in 20 moves", please. Each level will have several goals that must be completed to achieve a three star game. The object of this game is to remove matching tiles that aren't blocked by tiles either on the sides or on top, the faster you remove the tiles, the higher the score you earn. I felt this game a little easier than others I have seen. It is very difficult to make point limits to gain stars which you need to move to other locations. I found the graphics be be very basic with no additional hoopla to make the game exciting. Removing the silver tiles will restore your chip bonus but if you clear the board from golden tiles, the level is complete. There are only 3 tile patterns to choose from which is a bit disappointing, but what I enjoyed the most was the unusual layouts, my favorite was the stiletto. There are just too many other great Mahjongg games out there, so I recommend you try one of those. I liked the looks of the tiles, mostly the elegant ladies and gentlemen in their powdered wigs.
