Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by rainworm from Mysterious, dark and thrilling I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but this game did not live up to my expectations. Most of his previous games have been really good, but this one let the legend die with a whimper instead of a bang. I happened to enjoy several of the different scenes, particularly the one where we must find objects on a special kaleidoscope using the story presented in the scene. The Hidden Object Scenes are decent, but nothing new is presented in the demo, and so far, there aren't any alternative games offered in lieu of the HOP. I'm still disappointed however, in the fact that they continue to overlook the fact that none of their games automatically support widescreen. This developer is not known for adding a lot of extra content but what is included is enough to entice me to purchase the CE.

  1. I love watching him stomp around. Date published: Rated 3 out of 5 by codom from Great Game but Problems This has been a surprisingly good game. They were varied and the interaction was fun. Many of his works had elements of horror and fantasy, which fit well into a casual game.

  2. The graphics are excellent, as one would expect from this artistic team even though we are romping through a decrepit haunted house there are still touches of color and the game does not seem overpowered by the dull browns and grays we often find in haunted house types of games. The HOPS include variety and some interaction to acquire the items we eventually need to use before moving forward in the game. SG has his sights set on Sebastian, an innocent little boy, a boy with a gift, or a curse, depending on how it's used. The graphics were good, enjoyed the different tasks and the voiceovers. The story, together with varied HOS and quite interesting puzzles, let me remember the fascination of the very first game of the series, when we were introduced to the mysterious dwarf.

  3. Give the demo a try an see if you might like it more than I. This one kept the story and excitement going till the end. You will earn coins for each amulet found and they will be used later to purchase items for your Haunted House.

  4. The audio does not disappoint either; the background music provides great atmospheric support for the game and the majority of the voice-overs are on-point. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by r1tutu from Excellent, fun, game! The second feature I find annoying, is that the HOP's are always repeated in the same location at least once, which becomes boring a second time around, even though they usually change the type of HO's. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1 Move all the stones along the lines, to their matching colored slots. Most everything else was great.

  5. The CE version of the game includes Collectible Amulets to find. Are you up to the challenge? Rated 5 out of 5 by moonlanding from The Cursed Gift I have enjoyed this game immensely.

  6. I do have to say though that many of the graphics seem misty or foggy but I believe that is intentional given the nature of the game. Different strokes for different folks as the old saying goes. I could go on but I suggest you try this game without hesitation and enjoy the fun!

  7. Not that you have any options anyway! It's obvious that they have combined new forces with the old, to bring this series up to speed with fresh new ideas and features, while still keeping the original essence, inspired by the father of Russian literature, Alexander Pushkin. I can honestly say there wasn't anything I didn't like about this game.
