Pros: I did like the option to choose the conversation, this would be a good idea for a "choose your own adventure" style game. DO take time to read the credits its very funny. A couple of things I liked: 1 the music was very nice, and it changed with each scene. I agree this could win one of the best yearly awards. Who are these developers? Please keep trying. Most of the characters you come across in this game will have an interactive conversation dialog which allows you to choose the answers you give in the form of categories. It's a long game. The picture types clues, which I mentioned above, are stylized artists images, and it was frequently impossible to tell what the drawn clues represented. The explanations for the mini games are sometimes a bit vague and a couple of them caused me to skip simply because I never did figure out what was needed to win. Some of the riddles were in sentence form and some were in picture form. I would buy this game again! That was a unique touch to this type of game.
The characters were well drawn and the actions was decent. The graphics were outstanding. Myths of the World are really some of my favorite games. The Hidden Object scenes are presented in three or four stages. I enjoyed the game so much I actually read the credits to the end -which is a first for me. Sadly, the game was so full of things that worked in other games - it's excessive, heavy, confusing and dull. Since I won't buy these style ones anymore I'll review the trial. The main game ended satisfactorily, with the bonus game providing a further bit of story from the perspective of another character. IMO I would have loved to have numerous conversations with them. I'm now playing a G5 game, Mind Snares thank you Nothingsmurf for suggestion and it's interesting and runs smoothly. Didn't use it much.

The stand-alone puzzles were generally ridiculously easy. BF has never done that. IMO I would have loved to have numerous conversations with them. The flowers in the vase in one puzzle early in was mentioned by one of the reviewers already, and there are a few more throughout the game. It's the pop up voice overs so you have to click continue to see what was being said next. The characters have believable, unique personalities and generally fun to engage with; they are definitely not 'wooden'. BUT I can't struggle through another unoriginal story and crash issues. The story was okay, a Best in Show Solitaire hard to follow at times, but it had a beginning and an end, so that's a good thing. Shame the credits went by so fast I could not keep up nor could it be paused. Just remember, these take time to charge before you can use it again. Over all, it was not a fun game for me. SpelunKing: The Mine Match characters were well drawn and the actions was decent. The graphics were really nice and the music and voice overs were well done. Finders Keepers of the first fairies you meet is Orna who gives you a magic monocle, the Monocle of True Vision, that your Grandfather had given her as a gift. I did like the little fairies flying around.
Cons: Too many story lines that are hard to keep track of - the nutty professor, the fairy, the witch, the other fairy, the rat catcher - left me halfway through the game going "who is who and who did what now? The graphics were really nice and the music and voice overs were well done. I bought the CE version and if it is within your means, the CE is the way to go. Play the demo and read the other reviews so you can get a full idea of what others thought. As soon as I heard the fake-irish accents, I suspected that as little attention was given to the game play as to accuracy. I really enjoyed this well worth the money. This is an extremely entertaining game with sharp graphics, and a very interesting fairy tale story. Now, you must honor your grandfather's memory by helping the fairies defeat an evil witch who has been trapping the fairies and using the enegry of their souls to attempt to open the portal that leads into the Fairy world. Each HO puzzle having 3 stages to go through just makes it seem long. Dolphin Dice Slots played probably 5 hours over two days, but it really didn't get me involved in what was going on. I played in custom mode and had nothing but the map to show areas of interest.
The other issue is that it is easy to over hit the continue button and miss some of the narration. I like the interactions with the magical beings. Click on it to move. The map will transport you but useless for location hints. It acted like a child's game yet it was very challenging at the same time. Speech Bubble - When your cursor turns into a speech bubble, it means you can talk to that character. They were varied with not all the same list type and they had my all-time favorite: the riddles to figure out what hidden object you are looking for. And I just skip through the story so it doesn't get in the way of the fun. Some VOs were irritating to listen to, one was pretending to have a child's voice; the other was the forced Irish accents which was so painful to listen to. Excellent work on the part of the actors! It was lovely to have a game world in which we were not trekking along completely alone, as we went about our quest to save the world! Shame the credits went by so fast I could not keep up nor could it be paused. The puzzles are all doable with some taking a bit more effort than others. I agree this could win one of the best yearly awards. There is no map so if you become stuck on where to go next you must use a hint.
