I consider them "time out" from the hidden object workout, and they eventually take on a challenge of their own. And, the extra puzzles are diverse and fun. The HO scenes are too busy, on many occasions the objects are so buried as to be impossible to locate, the mini-games are ridiculously simple, the objects in the hidden scenes are very tiny and hard to see, the list goes on. I have reached my own level of not having fun and will rid myself of the frustration before moving on to the 4th location in the game.. But the game isn't impossible to play, as far as locating the items. It was easy but I liked the different places of Tokyo you were able to see. I also felt like they made Tokyo sound boring if that is all they could come up with on their narrative. The graphics are topnotch and the games are just difficult enough to make it an interesting adventure. I ended up playing the whole game which is something I never do when I give such a low rating.

There are five skip coins in puzzles and various different hint coins in each HOS, as well as a blue zoom in area. Perhaps others play on really large monitors and have no issues with finding the objects mine is not real small. The hidden objects are getting more cleverly placed with each new release of Big City Adventure. The cities in the series I didn't enjoy though are Rome, Paris and Vancouver, they're not as exciting. I have to buy these asap. Ok, so my eyes are old and I totally enjoy hidden object games - yes, even with no darkness and a lot of back and forth to find things.

  1. I agree with other reviewers - this is the worst one yet - don't bother wasting your time or money. I hate hidden objects that are too easy to find and these definitely were not, actually had to use the hint. Great graphics, pleasant music and you learn a lot about Japan as you progress through the game.

  4. Have every single game so far, and there's never any disappointment when the "new arrival" makes it debut! Too bad. Along with the others. I enjoyed playing this game to the very end.

  5. Best yet!!! Look for the cute and quirky animations that help bring every location to life. Overall, a nice peaceful way to spend some time. I love Big City Adventure games because you don't have to go back and forth from one scene to another then back to a previous scene several times. It was fun.

Really enjoyed by the grand kids right through to the great granny! Looking forward to more like it. There are 20 gears to find in the HOS but they are all in the object list, so you can't miss them.

HOG are great Overall, if you like true HOG games, this is a must have. I don't play these games for the puzzles but I wish they weren't that easy and wish there was more of a variety.
