I immediately bought this game. The old-fashioned way is perfectly fine but isn't strategically advantageous most of the time because, for one, it uses up a precious limited Move, and trust me, they aren't very generous with the amounts given. But the board is a checkerboard of light and dark, and when the same tile is on a light or dark square, the tile it changes into will swap. The flipping thing is well thought out. Well my memory isnt that great so i have to flip them a lot, and with them having a possible TWO alternates, depending on which square theyre on, and having to remember that for multiple tiles, and as you go they throw in even more tiles, it just because WAY too much drudgery. I made it to level 6, only "skipping" out of the 5th because I couldnt take it any more, no other things to do yet, and on most levels I earned zero stars- so its still counting how many moves you make, even on unlimited.

The flipping thing is well thought out. You can play relaxed or limited moves. A good continuation of a good game. When you flip a button over, on the other hand, it doesn't affect your Limited Moves, AND it may result in an automatic match which also doesn't count towards a Move. By the time Level 3 rolled around I realized that there was more to this game and that I'd need to plan my moves strategically. One thing it had that was different; you can click on a token and it will change to another one. But,I found this rather boring. In Button Tales: Way Back Home, there are two ways to make matches, the old-fashioned way of swapping tiles, or the Button Tales way of flipping buttons over.

  3. By the time Level 3 rolled around I realized that there was more to this game and that I'd need to plan my moves strategically. The first two levels really fooled me into thinking this was one of those sugary sweet Match 3 games converted from mobile to PC. Discuss with other players!
