Amaranthine Voyage: The Orb of Purity Collectors Edition

From Eipix Entertainment, the studio that created Danse Macabre and Phantasmat, invites you to explore a new world in the next Amaranthine Voyage! Professor Samantha Bennett has made a huge breakthrough in her harmonium research, but is shocked when a man from another world falls through her new portal. The man calls himself Kraixx and appears to be ill, pleading with Prof. Bennett to save his world. Since you're the leading expert on harmonium, Prof. Bennett calls you in, hoping you can save this strange man's life and uncover the mysteries of the dark harmonium threatening to swallow Kraixx's world. Search this new world for clues, but beware the Watchers, a cold-hearted group whose goal is to arrest anyone with magical abilities, including Kraixx. You'll have to decide who to trust in this new world where anything is possible.

You can select from a choice of four modes of gameplay: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Custom. Needless to say the game was an instant purchase for me but, as always, I recommend that you try the demo to see if this is a game you will enjoy. The adventure portion of the game should be a no-brainer for all of those who are familiar with HOPAs from Eipix — it involves a lot of running back and forth as well as a handful of same-old tasks. Who among them is the villain? Fortunately, Kraixx has equipped you with a Gauntlet capable of collecting both dark and light Harmonium energy, breaking barriers and discharging it's energy as needed. If I like the mini-games I am not as bored by these gimmicks but in some games they are rather a nuisance to complete when I need to get on with saving someone or something — lol. Every time you use the Gauntlet you will play a small mini game of either matching the identical symbols or drag ropes across every star point. One big source of irritation for me was using the gauntlet you acquire early on to bring in crystal power by playing the same two minigames over and over again. As I recall, I liked it so much I replayed it all the way through once again once it was over, which is something I've definitely never done again! The bonus game in the CE version is connected to the main story which I like. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by TrainerO from it just doesn't work right I have 4 computers I have played this on. Hidden object scenes are prevalent but nothing fancy, and each area features three to four screens where you collect everything you need quickly and then have to blow through about four puzzles in a row to move on. One had nothing that you had to figure out, you just placed shapes in obvious places. And things get less intelligible from there, unfortunately. I love any game has a sci-fi theme and this one is right up my alley more so than the recent Amaranthine Voyage games.

Une Amaranthine Voyage: The Orb of Purity Collectors Edition

The story is about what you would expect. I bought the CE and don't regret Charma: The Land of Enchantment, but the SE would be fun, too. I found myself starting to dread it by the end. If I like the mini-games I am not Voyyage: bored by these gimmicks but in some games they are rather a nuisance to complete when I need to get on with saving someone Collectorx something — lol. And things get less intelligible from there, unfortunately. Though I have not played much more than the demo, I write to recommend whether to by the CE or Voyyage: SE because that's what I want to know when both are out. If balance isn't restored in his world, our world will surely perish! So give it a try. Bennett has made a major breakthrough with her otherworldly portal, and someone has just arrived on her doorstep! In this series:. It's up to Eve "you" to purify an alien world and restore balance of the harmonium in the universe in this wonderful Adventure Puzzle Hidden Object! I assume the low ratings come from people who have tried a lot of Eipix's stuff, but don't be deceived by them: this game has bright, interesting scenery, a unique storyline for the most part even if it does dovetail into the Royal Envoy 2 Collectors Edition 'rescuing people from a mysterious evil' style of taleand a fusion of fantasy and sci Amaranfhine elements.

Eipix probably doesn't need to continue this series of it's franchise, I think it has plateaued All of the locations in The Orb of Purity are worthy of being desktop wallpapers; we enjoyed the bright colors and the majestic look of many of the scenes. The Collector's Edition has the addition of 43 Hidden Collectible Owls or Freyy's Apprentice, there is no cursor change to help you out, but they seem to all be pink which seems a bit odd. I'm not a mini game person and that just spoiled it for me. Overall, this was repetitive and marginal for me. Moreover, Amaranthine Voyage 5 comes with a predictable gameplay. 1. I would almost buy the game just to see what it has for an ending, as though we couldn't guess. The hidden object scenes are better, all of them are very interactive and they come in a nice variety of formats. Most of the Hidden Object Puzzles are silhouetted shape finds, or multiple finds, but there's also an extremely interactive and progressive scene where you fidget with all kinds of gadgets, and another where you are tasked with finding symbols or glyphs written on the walls on 3 sections, which was somewhat challenging and a nice change of pace. All of the locations in The Orb of Purity are worthy of being desktop wallpapers; we enjoyed the bright colors and the majestic look of many of the scenes. Though I have not played much more than the demo, I write to recommend whether to by the CE or the SE because that's what I want to know when both are out.

  2. The Collector's Edition also has several Achievements to earn, and many of the inventory items have plus signs indicating some type of interaction is necessary before using the item. 3. In this series:. Kraixx might look like you and I but he's definitely from another world, a world being consumed by the dark energy of Harmonium. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by skullfun from Amaranthine Voyage 5: Get the balance Right!

  4. The Collector's Edition also has several Achievements to earn, and many of the inventory items have plus signs indicating some type of interaction is necessary before using the item. All in all, the HOPs and puzzles are terrific and even though some of the puzzles might seem easy, there is a good mix of difficulty so there is something for everyone. 8. I really don't know what has happened to this developer, but the quality has gone downhill for a while now. Every time you use the Gauntlet you will play a small mini game of either matching the identical symbols or drag ropes across every star point. Fortunately, Kraixx has equipped you with a Gauntlet capable of collecting both dark and light Harmonium energy, breaking barriers and discharging it's energy as needed. The storyline is quite good and I really want to help Kraixx put his world in order.
