So tired of every game having the same style puzzle with different themes. The cutscenes and animations in this game are second to none, every moment of the game is certainly a feast for the eyes. Puzzles and mini-games are essential to the identity of the game as they are scattered everywhere throughout the game. Not to spooky but a little odd at times. I found myself as addicted to the game as he is. If a game-character can make you smile.. I usually think of HOP scenes as something i have to get through in order to get to the adventure part of the game which is where my true enjoyment comes from but this game made HOP interesting again. It better be good to avoid the remainder table If anything, the game is perfectly paced with plenty of exciting action sequences and great storytelling. Some of the dialogue is strained at best. Despite the familiar storyline, Mystery of the Ancients: Black Dagger remains engaging from start to finish. BigFish offered to fix the problem and my nephew is over-the-top-happy. You put HOPs and puzzles I actually enjoy doing mixed with good story and game play you got a five star game. Magic and technology in the plot make a very uneasy truce.

If a game-character can make you smile.. Some of the dialogue is strained at best. After purchasing it at first I had no idea what was going on and thought I made a mistake but after about 30 minutes I started getting to under stand what the story line and jest of it. Normally I run through a CE game and bonus in hours, but with the additional puzzles, this one runs over 20 hours. Quite a lot of back and forth and thank heaven for the jump map. I always judge how good a game is by how fast i jumped to the bonus chapter after the main game and this time I played it right after because I just didnt want it to end. A game doesn't have to be perfect to get five stars in my book, it just has to deliver, and this one does. The graphics are terrific, the story line is fun, and there's enough of a challenge to keep you hooked.. Upon your initial investigation, evidence and clues point to the involvement of an ancient dagger. This one did not disappoint. This is my only complaint of this game. The main game took us around four hours to complete, and the bonus chapter, which is equally solid, took us another hour or so. BigFish offered to fix the problem and my nephew is over-the-top-happy. I just wanted to thank these devs for making their games available to those of us who cannot afford to upgrade our computers every five minutes! I found myself as addicted to the game as he is.

Congratulations MariaGlorum on this hit game. Plenty of game play, most tasks made sense, and some lovely puzzles reminiscent of MCF at its sadly lost greatness.
