Does not have voice over and you do need to go all over the place to find clues but the flow is good. It contains diary, tasks and photographs of the location. The visuals could have been better. Worth the purchase!! Decidedly creepy and very appropriate for this game. Obviously it was tons of fun. I only bought the SE so I didn't get to see that extra level which is disappointing but I enjoyed the game. The storyline is very clever and keeps you guessing! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by GDeliuta from One of my favorite games I loved the plot: romantic, tragic and scary! There are many pages of a diary and letters to be find, which fill in the background of the story very nicely. I achieved something, learned something, added something to the inventory and had to go back to use it. But little he realized about the real changes which are about to happen as he learns the history behind the manor. I last played this game a year ago, and had forgotten all the best bits. It is not hard at all and if you need help the hint button works great.

Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by sfr8rfan from Scary Good I Charma: The Land of Enchantment this game. It was technically superior to every other game I've played. I had tried this game as the CE version and didn't know if I really liked it. In any case, once I Shicer: going it became very interesting and enjoyable. The introduction to Shiver: Poltergeist game is very well done. Storm Chasers: Tornado Islands is an excellent game! My family thought I'd abandoned them. I thought the commentary was rather humorous at times. The few times he did make an appearance, it was more of a hindrance. Hope this review helps!! Glad I bought it! The mystery kept me interested and wanting more. Despite these two issues, the latest in Artogon's Shiver series remains a good investment. I liked the storyline even though I've seen the haunted house theme a few times in other games.

I enjoyed this game very much. My family thought I'd abandoned them. This really is a spectacular HO Adventure. The ending is designed to hook you for the CE. It never got in the way and was never boring. Just like Vanishing Hitchhiker, I love how I have many rooms to walk around and explore at the beginning! In any case, once I got going it became very interesting and enjoyable. The hidden object levels are not extremely challenging with a little bit of interaction and a fast recharging hint button. However, if you read the letters carefully and know where you are when you read them, you get to make a good guess at who it was; it is suggested to you, but you could miss it if you miss one particular letter or skimp over its contents. I loved playing this game, but I must point out one gripe. If you do buy the CE, the bonus is some more fun, is as good as the main game and the true culprit is revealed there at the end, if you want to know for certain. The manor and its grounds are huge, with hidden rooms and royal ancestry all wrapped up in a love story gone wrong. It was wonderful! This is a must have for your collection! The mini-games that you run into as you proceed are very familiar if you have been inthis genre for a while now.

A big plus for me was the music. Boy, everyone was right. Personally, I was happy to scratch my Mother Nature over where to get a shovel rather than pushing buttons aimlessly trying to make them all stay down. Those last 30 seconds just frustrate. One is the unseen protagonist and the Shiver: Poltergeist is an antagonist I Think. There are lots of places to go, much to explore, many rooms to find and still no butler showing up to help you.

Game seemed nice and long, the scenes tied into each other and made sense, and the game really kept my interest. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Rudygeegee from Wow! You play as Ricardo Chellini who has just inherited a manor in England. The graphics, dialog, Scenery were great!! Hope this review helps!! Now that his monotonous life has chenged, he has to go and explore the manor. It is just the right amount of fun and and enough of a challenge to keep you going and thinking, "Hey this game is fun"!! However, if you read the letters carefully and know where you are when you read them, you get to make a good guess at who it was; it is suggested to you, but you could miss it if you miss one particular letter or skimp over its contents. I thought the commentary was rather humorous at times. Here's a couple negatives: In part one we are introduced to the two main characters. There were several puzzles but I didn't find them enormously challenging. The colors and art is amazing, I totally fall in love with its colors and a big environment. The hidden object levels are not extremely challenging with a little bit of interaction and a fast recharging hint button. There are lots of places to go, much to explore, many rooms to find and still no butler showing up to help you. You are going to an old, run-down mansion that you have inherited.

I played this game on expert and was satisfied with the difficulty. The hidden object levels are not extremely challenging with a little bit of interaction and a fast recharging hint button. The graphics, dialog, Scenery were great!! You feel like a part of a movie, then you learn more about the story through excellent graphics and really nice voice over. There is a journal to accompany you in this game. This is an excellent game! Problem is, it comes with a ghost, a rather nasty one with pyromania. My family thought I'd abandoned them. First class production values all round. The mini-games that you run into as you proceed are very familiar if you have been inthis genre for a while now. Worth the purchase!! It was wonderful!

  1. Top quality graphics, and a very involving story. The visuals could have been better. I achieved something, learned something, added something to the inventory and had to go back to use it. It was a dark and moody adventure and the lighting was slightly muted to give that feel.

  2. Glad I bought it! The few times he did make an appearance, it was more of a hindrance. Despite these two issues, the latest in Artogon's Shiver series remains a good investment. The hidden object levels are not extremely challenging with a little bit of interaction and a fast recharging hint button. There are lots of places to go, much to explore, many rooms to find and still no butler showing up to help you.

  3. It contains diary, tasks and photographs of the location. I thought the commentary was rather humorous at times. What is the point? The scenes were drawn really nicely with great detail but I really enjoyed the interaction, such as flashlight, using objects in items list together or a lot more interactivity with puzzles than other adventure games I've played.

  4. The HO scenes were a little murky and I did use the hint button. I achieved something, learned something, added something to the inventory and had to go back to use it. Although there was a bit of the back and forth, the moves didn't seem wasted. After the first part of the game we never see the antagonist again.

  5. Decidedly creepy and very appropriate for this game. I'm sorry I can't be more specific about what I mean. One is the unseen protagonist and the other is an antagonist I Think. Exploring the scenes is very enjoable and ineresting. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by tigerleema from Creepy but I love it!
