Origins: Elders of Time

Brothers James and William depart on an expedition to find a lost city on a long-forgotten island, but only James is ever seen again. Found washed ashore, James claims that the brothers never reached the island, and recounts the story of how his brother was tragically lost at sea. Twenty years have now passed, and William's daughter Lisa receives information that suggests her uncle hasn't been telling the truth. Join Lisa on an epic adventure and journey to a place where anything can happen! A little spoiler, you can finish an area without having to find the hidden objects. Try it for sure, and keep at it until you get to the end of the mansion chapter - it seems slow and simple up till then, and then it suddenly picks up and takes off like a runaway airship! Others were the normal word lists. I have played a lot of games but never from this Developer, what a CRACKER of a game for first timers, if that is so,I just loved every aspect of this game, not a CE as I usually purchase, but in my opinion better than quite a few, having said that, give it a go fishes it might surprise you, as it did me, all the more newbies in gaming the better I say. This is a fantastic game, from the opening cutscene on - but you will need to be patient, because it starts a bit slowly. You attend the funeral of your mother, when you are approached by Christopher who tells you he has something for you at the house. That is expected and I don't get all riled up unless they are well known devs. All in all a cool game. Opening scene, Lisa is attending her mother's funeral in the rain while priests are reading Latin--already had my attention! Very good graphics, excellent story line, a map that made it very easy to get around. The voiceovers weren't that bad, either. I especially appreciated the flow of the game. Story so far: Year is , William White is looking for a mysteries island so far objective unknown. I LOVE when they put in an interactive map! The map takes you to a place instantly and shows areas where you need to do something. A little spoiler, you can finish an area without having to find the hidden objects.

That is expected and I don't get all riled up unless they are well Origins:: devs. HO scenes were pretty clear and just the right amount of difficulty Campgrounds not too difficult but not too easy. The inventory box at the bottom does not open when your curser is simply near it. Very easy to understand and every action made sense. The Elxers were good - I enjoyed the cut-scenes. I've played lots and lots of BF games but this one really got me Orugins: involved. After I finished the Origins: The Elders, it almost felt like when I had finished Myst for Origins: Elders of Time first time many years ago! I hate when you wander around a game and it has no logic. Too cool - I am much more content with opening it when I want to see what I have. Puzzles: So far a little easy, like opening a lock, turning on the pistons in the right order, etc. You can skip them if you want to. I am soooooo burnt out on "cute", and this one is NOT cute at all! The puzzles were very challenging but not impossible. I got involved in the story line and immersed in the graphics. There you see James. Very easy to understand and every action made sense. Thank you!!!!!   1. This is a fantastic game, from the opening cutscene on - but you will need to be patient, because it starts a bit slowly. I don't see a lot of replay value in it, and I finished in in about 4 hours, but if you have Fun Pass I say download it and give it a try. Like someone else said, when you start it is ok and then it became more and more interesting. If you like to get the achievements, you will need those. It does not mean that the objective is completed.

  2. Some HOs have been difficult to find and there is an option to play cards to remove the items from the list. I hate when you wander around a game and it has no logic. A bit stuck right now-- so, taking a break to submit this review and get back to this totally enjoyable game! The locations were pleasant and none of them dim or drear.

Thank you!!!!! It had a similar atmosphere to me as Syberia without being quite as polished. If there is to be a sequel I would buy it. Story line is ok, but you can skip all cut scenes and not miss much in the way of what you need to do next.

  5. I LOVE when they put in an interactive map! It is an adult-level game, actually. If there is to be a sequel I would buy it. I don't see a lot of replay value in it, and I finished in in about 4 hours, but if you have Fun Pass I say download it and give it a try.
