The beautiful, clear illustrations were a pleasure to look at and made it easy to distinguish detail. And the best part was that you were able to jump from one location to another. I really couldn't believe that the developers would put so much into a fine game and then cut off the ending in such a manner. Hearg the ones that are familiar from other games either have a new twist or are somehow more tricky than I've experienced. The pacing is smooth, except for a couple of cut scenes like the final Scartaris Chloes Dream Resort scene that felt rushed. There is a great purpose awaiting you. Within its form, of fantasy adventure, I would say this is an almost perfect game and am so glad I found it and think you will be too when you start this journey. This game took me by surprise this is what all adventure games should be. As to the story, it's a pure fantasy tale which extends beyond the expected final, because after you've defeated the vilain, the story continues. The mini puzzles are fun and some are hard, but if you play the casual, the hints charge quickly and the puzzles can be skipped without waiting long. It was such a let-down that I gave the game a 4 instead of a 5 rating, but I would have given a 4,5 if there was such a thing. There's lots of variety to the puzzles, some types that were new to me, no hidden object scenes don't know why Journey is classified as a HOG. It was fun. I actually did a double-take, I thought I had done something wrong. Some puzzles I solved immediately; difficult ones I worked out on paper. There's a convenient map that shows where you need to be and enables you to jump there directly. If anything I would have to say at the very end I would of liked to see a more indepth ending.

I like the location complete markers so that, if I decide to take the long-way to travel, I don't spend time looking at a scene where everything has already been done. The games are excellent and unique, presenting very good challenge, but if you start to become weary or stressed by them, just hit the skip button and all is well. I played the Hard version but still never had to wait for the hint button to recharge. Locations were marked "complete" when all tasks were done.

  9. If there's ANY more games like this one I want to know about it. Just right for those days you don't want anything tough, but just comforting and lovely to look at! Say what? The music is lovely, and the voice overs are well done. All you had to do was look at the map to see where you should be working to solve a problem or puzzle.

  11. I didn't really pay attention to the story line, nor did that matter. And the best part was that you were able to jump from one location to another. No HO scenes thank goodness , and the mini-puzzles are just challenging enough that you don't need to skip them. You can click on the spot and it will take you right there. They each have a special ability that protect you from danger in this fantastical other-world and assist you in reaching your amazing "pre-destination".

  12. This is how adventure games should be. It took me just over 12 hours to finish this game. There's a wide variety, many unique with twists on old stand-bys. If an occasional puzzle really stumps me, I can always skip though I hate to do that.
